New technologies for the 2010 Shanghai Expo have made their debut at this year's Shanghai Science and Art Exhibition. The event opened in Pudong on Friday.

"Along with the World Expo" is the theme of this year's Shanghai Science and Art Exhibition. Next year, you'll see this chair in the China Pavilion at the World Expo. It looks like a normal chair, but this set of desk and chair is fixed with more than 20 sensors. As you sit on it, the surface of the table turns into a Chinese traditional ink painting.

This piece is a three-dimensional LED invented by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, which has mixed technology with art. As the cello plays, the LED screen will change according to the music's rhythm and intensity. It's one of the highlights of the Swiss Pavilion at the World Expo.

The exhibition also features the highest definition film currently available in the world, called "The Mystery of Saturn". A 1.5-centimeter-thick pane of glass covers the screen. It creates the same effect as the special spectacles viewers wear to watch a three dimensional film. The transparent glass wall also works as a keyboard. When visitors touch it, it plays music.
