Chinese star Guo Jingjing and Wang Han have won gold in the women's 3-meter springboard synchro diving event at the national championship in Xi'an.

The event was Guo's first competition in China since the Beijing Olympics. China's top diver had just returned from America, where she won a gold at the fifth meet of the 2009 FINA Diving Grand Prix.

In Wednesday's competition Guo and her new partner Wang Han from Hebei province got top marks to claim the title with a total of 340.5 points, a result that also gained them a spot at the National Games in October.

Meanwhile in the men's 10m platform, Zhou Lvxin had a comeback win, jumping to first place after the fourth round. He then expanded his advantage with 16.5 points after the 5th round. His last jump saw him put in a backward 2 and half somersault, twist 2 and half jackknifes, a 3.8 degree of difficulty move that gave him the gold.
