An "Expo of Expos" exhibition has opened in Beijing to celebrate the 300-day countdown to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Visitors can learn about the upcoming Expo in Shanghai as well as about the 150-year history of world expositions.

Beijing's Capital Museum is hosting the display celebrating the 300-day countdown to the Shanghai World Expo.

One of the highlights is a 3-D film showing a simulation of the expo site.

Also on view are layouts of expo venues, along with models of some of the main pavilions, including some previously not shown.

So far, 191 countries and regions and 48 international organizations have confirmed they will be participating in the event. Their pavilions will be showing off unique themes and features. The construction of the pavilions are expected to be completed by year's end.

For the first time in history, the Shanghai 2010 Expo will also feature a highly sophisticated online version called "Online Expo Shanghai".
