Nicknamed Mimu, the HRP-4C was designed by Japanese bridal fashion designer Yumi Katsura. Professor Yokoi Kazuhito, head of the team that developed the robot, compared his feelings to those he might have on his daughters wedding day. The robot weights 43 kilograms and stands at 158-centimeters tall.

Its debut performance involved walking around the 10-meter catwalk before making an exit. Some models who performed on the same stage said they are worried that Mimu will steal their spotlight.
