The 7th National Flower Exposition concluded in the eastern suburbs of Beijing on Monday. Over the course of ten days, the event attracted over one-and-a-half-million visitors from home and abroad.
Spectators began queuing up at seven o'clock in the morning for the event's last day. In addition to holiday makers from across China, there were a lot of overseas tourists as well.
Held in the Shunyi District, in the eastern suburbs of Beijing, the event featured flowers contributed by more than a thousand enterprises from across the globe. The diverse array of local varieties are supplemented by plants from South Africa, the DPRK, Thailand, and Japan.
According to organizers, all the exhibits will remain permanently at the venue following the event, making it one of the largest public parks in Beijing.
