Six sentenced to death over Xinjiang riot

URUMQI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Six people who were convicted of murder and other crimes in the deadly riot in Xinjiang in July were condemned to death by a court Monday in a first-instance trial, and one person was sentenced to imprisonment for life.
