Saturday marks the 30th anniversary of the Museum of the Terra-cotta Warriors in Shaanxi Province. The museum is holding an exhibition of large numbers of its most precious items. And many have never been seen before by the public.

All the terra-cotta items of the exhibition are from the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang. The main exhibits of the museum are three exposed pits located one and a half-kilometers to the east of the tomb. About seven-thousand clay warriors, horses, and bronze weapons have been found in the pits. The site is now listed as a UNESCO "World Heritage Site" and known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World".
