SOFIA, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Visting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said here Thursday that China values its friendship with Bulgaria and wishes to build bilateral ties.

Xi made the comments during a meeting with Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov.

Noting that Bulgaria was the second country in the world to forge diplomatic ties with China, Xi spoke highly of China-Bulgaria relations over the past six decades.
