Dalai Lama goes further down traitorous road

2009-10-23 10:00 BJT

BEIJING, Oct. 23 -- The Dalai Lama clique cooperates closely with India whenever Sino-Indian border negotiations are being held or the Indian side is maliciously speculating over a border dispute. Furthermore, his words and deeds are becoming increasingly inappropriate.

According to a report posted on the Times of India website on June 4, 2008, when interviewed by a reporter from the New Indian Express, the Dalai Lama openly said that the McMahon Line created in accordance with the Shimla Agreement in 1994 is a legitimate boundary line. The Dalai Lama believes that judging from the above-mentioned agreement signed between Tibet and the British Government, Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India.

The Dalai Lama is willing to sell out the territory because he has never regarded himself as Tibetan, let alone Chinese.

According to an Asia News report published on March 31, the Dalai Lama claimed during a press conference held on March 31 that, "I consider myself a 'Son of India', and Tibetans have forged very close ties with India in recent years."

After his speech was published in the newspaper, his secretary Chimme Choekyappa had to deal with the aftermath.

On April 15, Voice of America (VOA) reported that the Dalai Lama's secretary irrationally explained, "I think that this is just like his honorable citizenship in some Canadian and Italian cities."

However, the Dalai Lama himself has never denied relevant media reports because he does not dare.

On April 15, Bhupendra Kumar Modi, an Indian entrepreneur told a VOA reporter that the Dalai Lama once talked about this issue directly with him. Bhupendra Kumar Modi said: "He said that he felt he is an Indian in nature, and he would manage to become an Indian citizen if the time is right and India's spiritual leader and the Indian people need him."

The Dalai Lama secretly considers himself an Indian citizen. On this point, his position is as follows: "I only say it once but I will make known my position through my actions."

According to a report published in the Times of India on September 11, the Dalai Lama's secretary Chimme Choekyappa made a high-profile declaration on September 10 that the Dalai Lama would pay a visit to Tawang district in November.

Taiwan's Central News Agency reported on September 13 that India is playing the Dalai card, and that "India may intend to exploit the Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh and even Tawang to prove that Arunachal Pradesh is part of India."

A China watcher from New Delhi said, "The timing of his visit (to Arunachal Pradesh) is important, especially when debate about his visit to Taiwan is still hot. They are good at playing tricks with China. They know that this kind of visit will put pressure on China." The Dalai Lama intentionally visited Tawang, even though he was quite aware that this region is a hot spot. His deeds have completely exposed his position and intentions.
