MADRID, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo said on Tuesday that he wouldn't buy any players from rivals FC Barcelona to strengthen his club's first team squad.
Ronaldo is currently fighting his way back to fitness after suffering an ankle injury whilst on international duty with Portugal and while he has been sidelined Real has lost against Sevilla and AC Milan as well as failing to score in a 0-0 away to Sporting Gijon.
Five dropped points in the BBVA Primera Liga have seen Barcelona open up a three point lead in Spain, but Ronaldo insists he is not worried by that.
"I am not scared of them at all and I am certain we are going to be fighting to try and beat them," he told radio show 'El Larguero.'
"We have got a great squad and I would not sign anyone from Barcelona," he added.
The striker also discussed his battle to recover in time to face AC Milan in the Champions League on November 3.
"At the moment I feel better than ever. I have to be careful about my injury so that I don't suffer a relapse, but everything is going well and I hope that soon I will be playing again," he said, before discussing his fitness regime.
"I look after myself and have a normal diet. This is my profession and I have to be in good physical shape. I know that I am always in condition. All I do is play football and I have to be in condition to do that."
"If any footballer is not in condition, it is because they don't do the work," he said.
However, Ronaldo added that there is a limit to his dedication.
"I am going to be sincere. During the season nobody can accuse me of anything because I am a model professional, but when I am on holiday I do what I want to do and I dedicate the time to enjoying myself," he said.
