MEXICO CITY, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Mexico Monday condemned the two bomb attacks in Pakistan that killed at least 34 people and injured some 60 others.

Mexico "reiterates its deep concern for the violence that holds sway in that nation and also reiterates its rejection of terrorism, as well as sending its condolences to the victims' families and to the government of Pakistan," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The first attack took place in the central city Rawalpindi on Monday morning when a bomb exploded in a hotel car park, killing 34 people and injuring at least 50 more.

Later in the northeastern coastal city Lahore, a man blew himself up at a police checkpoint and injured seven officers, two of whom were in serious condition.
