Vibrant colors have dominated the latest shows at the Beijing Fashion Week. Designers Qi Gang and Li Zhilong attracted plenty of attention on the catwalk with their bold, motley looks.
Haute couture designer Qi Gang showed his creative flair on cashmere garments. He showcased a variety of colors including gold, red, turquoise and pink.
Qi said he wanted to prove cashmere could be playful and chic.
Qi Gang, designer, said, "I have been frequently bombarded with the same question: how can cashmere be so fashionable? First, the colors are strong and varied - black is not my choice this time. Secondly, the style is either very long or very short."
Designer Li Zhidong label's, DGVI, was displayed at another catwalk. The designs embraced punk and gothic influences, leopard prints and rococo. Li said the fashions were inspired by American TV series "Gossip Girl", and designed with the planet in mind.
Designer Li Zhidong said, "The color are fluorescent and the patterns are environmental friendly. "
As the curtain comes down on Beijing's Fashion Week, fashionistas are already predicting next season's wardrobe to include vivid and refreshing styles.
