CCTV Dance Contest wraps up

Moving our feet to another beat now and the fifth CCTV Dance Contest has concluded with major prizes awarded during a spectacular closing ceremony.

The nine-day dance competition wrapped up on Sunday night. The PLA Art Academy won the golden award in category of collective dance and the Song and Dance Troupe of the PLA General Political Department took the crown in the contemporary dance category.

The contest attracted a wide range of participants from various art organizations. More than 12-thousand dancers stood on the stage to show their talents. Organizers said the quantity of programs and qualityof performance have exceeded the four previous Dance Contests.
