PYONGYANG, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The crew members from cargo ship "Jisong 5" of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) arrived in Pyongyang by special plane after a shipwreck, the official news agency KCNA reported on Monday.

The report said the Chinese government and officials concerned "conducted an urgent rescue operation" for the sailors and "offered convenience to the rescued men in their living."

But the report didn't mention the number of the crew members who returned to the DPRK alive.

The DPRK cargo ship "Jisong 5", which was en route from the DPRK port city of Nampo to Dalian, northeast of China, was hit by strong wind about 90 nautical miles southeast of Dalian at noon on Nov. 17.

Altogether 20 DPRK crew members were aboard the vessel when it was sinking.
