RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- A charity showdown between members of the Brazilian 1994 and 2002 World Cup champion teams was divulged on Monday.
The organizer of the event is Juninho Paulista, a member of the2002 national team that won Brazil's 5th World Cup title.
The event will be held on December 22 in the Sao Paulo city of Itu.
Members of the 1994 team to have already confirmed their participation are: Zetti, Gilmar Rinaldi, Marcio Santos, Ricardo Rocha, Mauro Silva, Rai, Paulo Sergio, Bebeto, Zinho and Viola.
The team will be filled by other members of the 1998 World Cup, with players such as Junior Baiano, Cesar Sampaio, Doriva and Edmundo.
From the 2002 World Cup winning national team, the players that have confirmed are Juninho Paulista, Roberto Carlos, Roque Junior,Luizao, Edilson, Vampeta, Junior and the team's head coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Cafu has declared that he will play a half for each team since he was a member of both teams.
Ronaldo, present on both teams in 1994 and 2002, will not play in the match. He is currently in Spain enjoying his short vacation from the Corinthians soccer team.
The event will raise food for the poor. In order to receive a ticket, fans will have to donate 1 kilo of non-perishable food.
