China wins five junior titles at table tennis World Cup

BOGOTA, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The powerful Chinese table tennis team won five titles at the Junior World Cup at Cartagena, Colombia on Thursday.

The Chinese made it to win both men's and women's singles, doubles and mix doubles.

At women's singles, Wu Yang surpassed Chen Meng 4-0 for the gold medal, while Fang Bo was the winner of men's singles beating Yan An 4-0.

Bo Fang and Yuting Gu became winners of the mix doubles defeating a Honduran team 4-2 (2-11, 11-4, 11-4, 5-11, 10-12, 11-7).

Chen Meng and Gu Yuting won the women's doubles, downing South Korean Min Hee and Yang Ha Eun, while Song Hongyuan and Bo Fang won the men's doubles, breezing over Yan An and Lin Goayuan.

The World Cup was hosted from Dec. 9 to 16 with the attendance of 42 countries and regions.
