LG Becomes CCTV Digital TV Partners again

In December 2009, LG and CCTV signed the agreement on Digital TV Partner of CCTV Sports Channel. Hence, LG becomes the digital TV partner of CCTV Sports Channel in 2010. It is the second time that LG and CCTV cooperate after last time in April 2009. Based on the successful cooperation in 2009, LG highly approved of this program, and was given the selecting priority by CCTV.

In 2009, after LG became the Digital TV Partner of CCTV Sports Channel, the two sides work hard for the development of China High Definition Television, and get some achievements. Their cooperation aroused the popularity of digital television in China in 2009.

Jiang Heping, the director of CCTV Sports Channel, said that CCTV has chosen LG as a partner to popularize digital television in China, because being a leading role in the field of global digital television, LG has successful experience in popularizing digital television in Europe and America, and made great contributions in the field.

Executive from LG Electronics claims that the cooperation with the most influential media in China is an example of strong cooperation. They believe that under the background of government’s support and China’s home appliance subsidy program in rural areas, LG will continue to develop new products pushing forward the development of China digital television industry.

With the completion of the program of upgrading CCTV High Definition Television and the increasingly rich high definition TV programs, CCTV will satisfy the audience’s demand of individuality, diversity and specialization with rich programs and advantages in program production. In 2010, with the launching of top events such as the Winter Olympics and South Africa World Cup, the cooperation will provide more audience with highly distinct and wonderful sports programs, and upgrade China’s digital television at the same time.
