Directed by seasoned comedian Eric Tsang, "72 Tenants of Prosperity" is slated to premiere on February 11th, three days before the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The movie casts a record 174 stars, which brings it in line with the move "Founding of A Republic" in terms of celebrity star power. Tsang said he has made the best of his network to bring together the megawatt cast.

"72 Tenants of Prosperity" is based on the 1973 Shaw Brothers film "The House of 72 Tenants" but it is a new creation that only keeps a few of the original roles. Shaw Brothers Studios, Hong Kong's foremost movie production company, saw its heyday in the 1960s and 70s, but is set to make a resurgence with the star-studded New Year release.
