China-Arab cooperation conference to be held in north China's Tianjin: FM

BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The Fourth Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum would be held in China's northern municipality of Tianjin, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said here Sunday.

Yang made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature.

Foreign ministers from 22 Arab countries and secretary-general of the Arab League will participate in the conference, and would meet Chinese leaders during the conference, He said.

The conference would facilitate and improve cooperation between China and Arab countries, Yang said, adding that he is confident that the friendly, cooperative, and mutually beneficial ties between both sides would be further consolidated.
