MEXICO CITY, March 7 (Xinhua) -- More than 100 Mexicans have returned home from Chile after the massive earthquake that hit the South American country on Feb. 27, the Mexican Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said in a statement that a fourth group of Mexicans arrived in Mexico City on Sunday. The eight people returned after commercial flights from and to Chile were restored.

An 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Concepcion, Chile's second-largest city, on Feb. 27. It remains unclear how many people were killed although the government had put the initial death toll at 803.
