Fourteen Chinese cities, including Xi'an, Xianyang, and Tianshui, have introduced the "Guanzhong-Tianshui economic region tourist cities cooperation action plan" to launch cooperation in the tourism industry and to integrate a series of tourist routes.
The 14 cities will jointly build a common tourism brand in the Guanzhong-Tianshui economic region. This new tourism cooperative body will concentrate on the concept of "journey to the geographical center of China" and develop historic and cultural tourism, natural ecotourism, red tourism, and recreational tourism. Routes such as "Tracing the Silk Road" and "Religious Sites Journey-Da ci'en Temple, Famen Temple, Kongtong Mountain, and Maijishan" are currently being developed.
In addition to these actions, these cities will initiate a citizens' mutual visit plan to promote each other's tourism products. They will also support travel agencies in launching interregional cooperation and establish tourism early warning mechanism and systems for promoting important events.
