Chinese delegation leaves for African visit

BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) left here Sunday to visit three African nations, including Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania.

The delegation was headed by the CPAPD vice president Yan Junqi, who is also vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC).

Yan and her delegation paid the visit at the invitation of the Ethiopian International Institute for Peace and Development, Deputy Speaker of Uganda Rebecca Kadaga Alitwala, and Tanzanian Speaker Samuel John Sitta.
