Kyrgyz president says willing to negotiate with interim gov't -- state media

BISHKEK, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said Sunday that he is willing to negotiate with the country's interim government formed by the opposition, the state-run Kyrgyz news agency reported.

Bakiyev who was forced to flee the capital city by opposition protesters last week made the gesture at a news conference in a town in the southern province of Jalalabad.
