BISHKEK, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz interim government has issued an order to abolish President Kurmanbek Bakiyev's immunity, said a senior official on Tuesday.

The government will arrest him if he does not surrender by the end of the day on Tuesday, the official added.

Earlier reports said nearly 1,000 Bakiyev's supporters were gathering in the country's southern city of Jalalabad to show their backing to the president.
