At Miami Open, world number one Novak Djokovic would be playing a familiar opponent when he took on seventh seeded Thomas Berdych in the Quarter-Finals.

It's fair to say Djoker has the edge on his opponent, particularly on hard courts where the Serb owns a 19-0 record against the big Czech, so chances are good Nolé would continue his quest for a record tying sixth title in Key Biscayne.

Despite the almost overwhelming odds against him, Berdych in the near court does what he can, but it ain't much as Djokovic takes this point with a volley, and later the first set 6-3.

Some cause for concern in the second as Novak calls for a trainer to treat back spasms. But the top seed would be okay after the rub.

And pretty soon it's match point for the Serbinator who wins the frame 6-3 when Berdych hits the net. Next up for Djokovic will be either David Goffin or Gilles Simon in the Semi-Finals.

15th seed from Belgium pushes through to Semi-Finals

The Frenchman Simon is up 4-2 in the first set against Goffin in another Quarter-Final. Both of these players are known to mix up their game with slices and drop shots. Goffin barely manages to connect with this ball off the net, giving the Frenchman an open look, and he acknowledges the lucky bounce.

Simon takes the first frame 6-3, but Goffin has a break point here in the second, and he gets it with a forehand. The Belgian would win three games in a row to win the set 6-2.

In the decider, Goffin would earn a break, and now leads 4-1. Simon has him on the back foot and playing well behind the baseline, but the Belgian comes up with this perfectly placed lob that freezes the Frenchman.

Simon sends his return long, so Goffin takes the final frame 6-1 to complete a three set victory, and he is moving on to the Last Four in Miami for the first time in his career.
