Vehicle sales in China rose 7.8 percent in March to 1.92 million units from a year earlier. That's according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association on Monday. March's strong reading helped increase the sector's first-quarter sales by nearly 7 percent. That came despite a poor February performance that was the weakest in three years. The auto association expects vehicle sales to expand 6 percent this year in the world's largest car market.
