Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is on a five-day state visit to China, lasting till Friday. On Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a ceremony to welcome his Nigerian counterpart outside the Great Hall of People in Beijing.

Buhari got 21-gun salute and inspected the guard-of-honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. During the visit, he is set to hold separate meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, as well as visit Shanghai and Guangzhou. This year marks the 45th anniversary of China-Nigeria diplomatic ties.
