Six people have been rescued and another six remain trapped at a construction site in South China's city of Dongguan, after a temporary work shed collapsed this morning.

Over 60 firefighters are there now for the search and rescue operation. The collapse happened when a strong gale blew down a metal frame, which then fell onto the temporary shed.

The collapsed shed covers an area of some 200 square meters. Authorities have also deployed firefighters from neighbouring cities to assist in the rescue operation.
