China and France have agreed to boost bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in regional and international issues of common concern, in a new round of strategic dialogue.

The dialogue was held between Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Diplomatic Advisor to the French President, Jacques Audibert, on Thursday in Paris. The two sides agreed that China and France should deepen nuclear collaboration, upgrade the level of cooperation in the aerospace industry and third-party markets, and expand trade and mutual investment.

Audibert said that France has full confidence in China's economy and that he expected China's 13th Five-Year Plan would bring new opportunities for economic cooperation.

Yang said China will continuously facilitate the pragmatic cooperation between China and the EU, realizing the integration of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative with Europe's development strategy.
