Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli has met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon at the United Nations headquarters in New York. 

Zhang will attend a senior-level signing ceremony of the Paris Agreement on climate change, as a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Zhang says President Xi attended the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the UN in 2015, and proposed win-win as a core of a new major power relationship. China will continue to support the UN on coping with global challenges, and promote the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development agenda. 

Ban Ki-Moon says China played a key role on the finalising of signing the Paris Agreement. And The UN expects China to continue its support regarding the UN climate change efforts.
