For more on the efforts to save endangered species, we are joined by Xie Yan, the Associated Research Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Welcome to the program.

Q1: Global initiatives have led to an increase in the global wild tiger population. But looking at the bigger picture, are we seeing an overall improvement in terms of wildlife preservation? What do we need to do better?

Q2: It will obviously take more than NGO campaigns and public awareness to protect these animals, and legal action is also needed.
