Over 23,000 batched of goods detained in 2015

China Customs has released a report on the country's current intellectual property right and the efforts made to create a clean market environment. In 2015, a total of 25,000 times of measures have been taken to IPR protection. More than 23,000 batches of suspected import and export goods were detained involving about 70 million pieces.

The number of infringement of intellectual property rights the goods surged dramatically with nearly 2,000 batches of goods were questioned which worths a value of 56 million yuan or 9 million US dollars.In addition, authorities buckle check suspected infringement of intellectual property types including trademark, patent, copyright up to 68 million pieces, which is about 98% of the total suspected items.
