Iranians have started to vote in a second round of parliamentary elections. Voters will elect 68 lawmakers in the constituencies where candidates failed to get 25 percent of votes cast in the first round.

Even though President Hassan Rouhani's allies made major gains in the first round held this February, they failed to win a majority. Now they will have to wrest seats from the current members of the parliament, dominated by allies of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Results will be announced by Sunday, and the new parliament will begin its session on May 27th.
