On this year's Labor Day, multiple protests across the world against unfriendly labor reforms have been scheduled at a time of economic difficulties.

In France, workers' unions and student organizations have planned further protests on Sunday.  This follows Thursday's violent demonstration to block a labor reform.  Protesters had refused to leave the Republic Square in Paris and threw projectiles at police officers. Police then arrested 27 people, placing 24 of them in custody.

In the Philippines, workers and union members have marched in the streets of the capital, Manila. They repeated demands for the government to protect jobs. And thousands of workers have marched through the streets in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, demanding better working conditions and more pay.
