The five-thousand to one longshot, one of the most unlikely title winners in recent memory. Here is a look at some of others.

In 2004, Todd Hamilton, a 38-year-old journeyman golfer was able to outlast Ernie Els at Royal Troon to win the British Open. He has failed to make it into the top ten at a major since.

That same year, Greece was the most improbable winner of football's European title. They had never gotten out of the group stage at the event, but they beat defending champions France, world number two at that time, the Czech republic to make the final -- and then toppled the hosts, with Luis Figo, and a young Cristiano Ronaldo to claim their only major title.

And just before the turn of the century -- the St. Louis Rams shocked the NFL by winning the Superbowl. Stunning stuff considering they had only won 4 games the previous year.
