China is providing much needed water supply to Myanmar, which has been badly hit by drought.

The Chinese embassy to Myanmar and local NGOs have organized delivery of a tank containing 33,000 liters of drinking water to southern Yangon, one of the most parched areas.

The supply will bring relief to more than 2,000 households, saving them the long trek to get water. China has also committed to help build dams and water treatment plants in the country.
