More than 130 foreign reporters have arrived in Pyongyang ahead of the DPRK's national party congress. They have been told to wait for further notice on exact arrangement and time for coverage.
Japanese journalists have been allowed earlier access, and have visited the DPRK's ammunition storage. A local citizen told NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, that the nation's enthusiasm is running high and it has been enveloped in a joyful atmosphere.
CNN said they saw citizens engaging in a mass nationwide "70-day Battle" campaign -- in which the whole country focuses its efforts on increasing productivity levels before the congress. Working hours have been extended and the people are encouraged to deliver more achievements for what's being called the "heyday for building a thriving country."
