13 under treatment, medical staff standing by

Local authorities held a press conference on Sunday evening on developments in the Fujian landslide rescue efforts.

According to the latest data, eight injured people underwent treatment at a local hospital. Five new victims arrived at the hospital in Taining county Sunday afternoon, making the total of injured rise to 13.

Doctors and nurses are currently on standby as the search and rescue work continues into the night. Moreover, nearly 100 medical personnel have been mobilized from nearby towns and cities to join in the emergency rescue efforts. 160,000 milliliters of blood plasma has been prepared in case more injured victims are discovered.
