Three car bombs in Baghdad killed at least 94 people Wednesday, marking the bloodiest day in the Iraqi capital this year. The first bomb targeted a busy market in northeast Sadr City district.

The explosives were hidden under fruit and vegetables loaded on a pick-up truck. Hours later, a suicide car bomb exploded in the northeast district of Kad-him-iya, where many Shi'ite pilgrims were visiting a mosque.

At around the same time, another car bomb ripped through the al-Jami'a district in western Baghdad.

Three bombs hit. ISIL claimed responsibility and said they are fighting. We heard police and hospitals that all the injured are civilians.

As ISIL pushes back from the battle field, more pressure on the Iraqi government to show some progress. Political crisis has brought the government to a halt. No progress made. Violence are one more example that the government has failed to protect them.
