Over 10,000 people relocated after Wednesday's quake in Tibet

More than 10,000 residents have been relocated in China's Tibet Autonomous Region in the wake of Wednesday's earthquake.

The tremor left over a hundred houses destroyed, and 69 people injured. Twelve severely injured people from Kata Town, the quake's epicenter, are currently being treated in hospital.

After intense efforts, six of the eight damaged roads around the town have been reopened. Relief goods such as tents, quilts, blankets are being transported to the affected areas. And medical workers have been sent there to help. A magnitude-5.5 earthquake hit Dengqen County in Tibet's Qamdo City Wednesday morning.
