Four killed, 17 wounded in blast in southeast Turkey

Four suspected bomb makers were killed and 17 people wounded late on Thursday when an explosion ripped through a village in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast.

The Interior Ministry says the blast occurred near the major city of Diyarbakir, when Kurdistan Workers Party militants were loading explosives onto a truck. Security sources claim that they were intended for an attack on security forces.The blast followed a car bombing targeting police in Diyarbakir two days ago that killed 3 people.
