Brazil's interim government has dismissed criticism of its impeachment process by leftist countries in Latin America.

Brazil's Foreign Ministry has said it "emphatically rejects" neighbors "allowing themselves to opine and propagate falsehoods over internal political processes in Brazil."

Venezuela, Cuba and Bolivia have condemned Brazil's impeachment of suspended President Dilma Rousseff.
