Chinese men's team wins 4×100M relay at IAAF Diamond League

Shanghai hosted the second round of the 2016 IAAF Diamond League season ... the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix on Saturday. Chinese men's 4 plus 100 meters team, which composed of Chen Shiwei, Xie Zhenye, Su Bingtian and Zhang Peimeng took the champion with 38.71 seconds.

Chinese team are arranged in the sixth track and Chen Shiwei kept a good rythem at the beginning. It was not easy to find out the distances between the teams in the curve track.

The second stick was Xie Zhenye, he was catching up others in the straigtway. China's advantage was apparent while he passed the stick to Su Bingtian.

The following curve period Su Bingtian has advantage as he was in the sixth track. And as China's leading player, Su Bingtian has great power.

When he passed the stick to Zhang Peimeng,  China was in the leading position. And the last straigtway, Zhang Peimeng rushed to the finishing line first. China took the 4 plus 100 meters relay race 38.71 and broke the Diamond League record.  Jamaica MVP mixed team took the second place while the international mixed team took the third.

China's Xie Zhenye takes the eighth place

For mens' 100 meters, China's Xie Zhenye made his debut in world-level tournament. He was in the ninth track, together with Gatlin and Asian record holder Femi Ogunode.

However, Xie Zhenye was the slowest in the starting point. The Beijing World Championships 100m and 200m silver medalist Gatlin lift the title in 9.94 seconds. Femi Ogunode came second in 10.07. The Qatari equalled the his own Asian record of 9.91 last month to lead the world standings. Michael Rodgers was third in 10.10.  Xie Zhenye took the eighth place and another Chinese player took the ninth.

China's Xie Wenjun takes third place, Merritt disqualified

The most dramatic event tonight, however, was the men's 110m hurdles where two false starts American Aries Merritt to be disqualified. Orlando Ortega of Spain was also disqualified.

Omar Mcleod from Jamaica took the champion with 12.98 seconds. Sivler medal also goes to Jamaica 's athlete....Parchment Hansle. China's Xie Wenjun took the  third place with 13.34 seconds.

South African's Rushwal Samaai grabs silver

The men's long jump was one of the highlights as the 22-year-old Gao Xinlong secured the host's only title at this meeting in his second attempt with 8.14 meters while South African Rushwal Samaai grabbed silver, also in 8.14m. But Gao won as his second high result was better than Rushwal Samaai. leaving Australian Fabrice Lapierre to the third place in 8.09m. 

China's Zhang Guowei takes silver medal, Wang Yu the third

For men's high jump, China's Zhang Guowei took the silver medal. Bohdan Bondarenko from Ukraine took the champion while another Chinese athlete Wang Yu took the third place.
