Marin would try to stay in it, but the Spaniard cannot retrieve this point after it clips the net. Wang closes out a 19-21, 21-18, 21-19 victory, her fourth win in five matches against the world champ.

The result giving the Chinese team - and the crowd - a boost. World number four and current Asian champion Wang Yihan comfortably beat Beatriz Corrales 21-11, 21-9 to make it 2-0 for the hosts.

Then the third singles Sun Yu, continued China's fine play beating Clara Azurmendi 21-9, 21-8 sealing their second group victory, China rolls to a 5-nothing win, after also sweeping the doubles matches.
