A golden snub-nosed monkey, the first of its species to be brought up by humans in northeast China, has just celebrated her first birthday. The golden snub-nosed monkey is one of the most protected animals in China. They are known as "Sichuan golden hair monkeys" in the country.

Jin Bao abandoned by her mother 5 days after birth. Luckily she was found by her current breeders. Has grown from 508 kg to 1690 kg. She is celebrating her first birthday

"She was injured when came. She wasn't in very good health. We kept changing her dressings and monitoring her changes and monitering her. We fed her milk every two or three hours and took care of her just like a baby," Miu Xiyan, cub breeder with Dalian Forest Zoo, said.
