Usain Bolt wins 100m at Golden Spike event in Ostrava

The IAAF's Golden Spike meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic, where has been with Usain Bolt for 10 years now. Jamican flyer joins in his second race this season in the run-up to August’s Rio Olympics.

The Olympic champion had never lost on his seven previous visits, with competing in the 100m, 200m and a 300m event.

With the time, Bolt took on his season's best of 10.05 for 100 meters race in the Cayman Islands on Saturday. After that first race of the season, he needed treatment on a tight hamstring in Germany on the way to the Czech Republic. His fans and parents would like to witness he blows away opposition to win crucial Olympic warm-up in 100M competition.

Olympic champion races first 40m is kind of sluggish, but he pulled ahead in the second half of the race to breeze unchallenged to the victory with 9.98 seconds. beating Ramon Gittens of Barbados by 0.23 seconds and third-placed Hassan Taftian by 0.27.

"My start, overall my reaction was good. I think the only problem I had was the power behind the start wasn't there. I didn't execute, I didn't get the power through the first 40 (metres) so I had to work a little bit harder at the end to get up to speed so if I can improve that then it should be okay," said Bolt.
