A truck has crashed on an elevated highway in Shanghai, causing damage to a bridge. The truck was carrying cement telegraph poles, most of which fell off the vehicle and scattered across the city's middle ringroad.
Part of the flyover's barrier and the road were severely cracked following the incident. No one was injured in the accident. The incident caused massive tailbacks during the morning rush hour.
Shanghai authorities are working to repair the bridge. The middle ringroad is a busy elevated highway in Shanghai and heavy goods vehicles are prohibited from driving along it.
The driver is in custody while the investigation is underway.
