Greece has won a new batch of rescue loans amounting to over 10 billion euros or roughly 11-and-a-half billion US dollars, following an agreement among the Eurozone finance ministers.

The deal came after Greece introduced new austerity measures to meet the Eurozone's bailout preconditions. The first round of disbursement of 7-and-a-half billion euros could come as early as mid-June, while the remaining could be released after summer.

The agreement is seen as a major step forward, as Athens and its creditors have had disagreements over the sustainability of a debt relief measure.
