The newly-formed Turkish government headed by Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has won a parliamentary vote of confidence.
Yildirim was backed by 315 parliamentarians, while 138 voted against. Yildirim is a close ally of President Tayyip Erdogan and a co-founder of the ruling Justice and Development Party. He's replaced Ahmet Davutoglu, who said he was stepping down after weeks of tension with Erdogan.
The new government takes office amid opposition accusations that Erdogan is attempting to rule like a dictator by enhancing his own power.
