Ahead of their Euro 2016 opener against Romania on June 10th, host nation France continued their preparations with a friendly match against Cameroon in Nantes on Monday. Defenders Jeremy Mathieu and Raphael Varane have been ruled out of the tournament for Les Bleus, dealing a heavy blow to coach Didier Deschamps. But despite the defensive worries he could have no complaints with his forward line which would include a stunning performance from West Ham man Dimitri Payet.

France take the lead on 20 minutes when Paris St. Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi volleys home from inside the area.

Vincent Aboubakar would level for the visitors 2 minutes later before Oliver Giroud puts the French back in front 4 minutes before the break.

The tap-in from the Arsenal man is his 15th goal for his country and he enters the Euros in good form after scoring 24 goals for the Gunners last season.

Maxim Choupo-Moting makes it 2-2 three minutes before the end but Payet is on hand to deliver a fantastic winner in the dying seconds.

The trade-mark free kick from the 29-year-old is fit to win any match and seals victory for France. Next up for them is Scotland on Friday before the big kick off on June 10th.
